This tower is part of a project Named "cité de la Terre" ("city of earth")
Planned at first for the new millenium, it had been postponed till 2004.
It was also planned at the very beginning to be in paris around the new library.
This tower represent a giant flower, with an observation deck and a museum on it's floor, 100m above the ground.
The structure is in wood, so the tower is ecological.
There are some doubts that this will be ever built since the world expo has been cancelled.

Cette tour est le point culminant (c'est le cas de le idire) du projet de La Cité de la Terre.
Prévue pour le nouveau millénaire, elle a ete repoussée jusqu'en 2004.
A l'origine, celle devait se trouver dans le voisinage de la Bibliotheque nationale.
La tour représente une fleur géante, de 200m de haut et 60m de diamètre au sommet.
Elle comprend un poitn d'obersvation a mi-hauteur, et un musée. elle se compose enfin entièrement de bois, sauf les "pétales" au sommet.
La construction de cette tour est devenue hypothétique avec l'annulation de l'expo mondiale.
